15-07-2006

MORE than 10 entrepreneurs from northern Namibia would participate in a trade fair at Lubango in neighbouring Angola as from 18 to 22 August this year. This came to light during a business meeting on Thursday which the Namibia Chamber of Commerce and Industry (NCCI) had organised to discuss possible participation of Namibian entrepreneurs at the Lubango fair
The meeting, which was attended by local entrepreneurs, discussed the procedures to be followed by those willing to display and market their products during the fair.
Namibian entrepreneurs will for the second time showcase their products at the Lubango fair under the auspices of the NCCI. The NCCI Northern Regional Manager, David Angula said the NCCI pledged to sponsor accommodation and pay the fees of the stalls.

It was agreed during the meeting that all interested entrepreneurs should furnish the NCCI with their business details before 1 July. Mr. Angula said this is necessary to enable the NCCI to complete all the arrangements and documentations well in advance.

Apart from entrepreneurs in northern Namibia, interesting entrepreneurs from other parts in the country are also asked to make arrangements in consultation with their nearest NCCI offices. Lubango is situated in the Huila Province about 430km from the border town of Oshikango. (MIB/NAMPA)
